Tecler Elementary School recently had the pleasure of welcoming Mary Ellen WanderEyer, a Capital Region native and the author of Finding the Blaze. During her visit, Mary Ellen shared her inspiring book with students and offered valuable insights into the writing process, as well as important tips on hiking safety and preparation.

Mary Ellen’s engaging presentation not only encouraged students to explore their creativity through writing but also emphasized the importance of being prepared and staying safe while enjoying outdoor activities. Her visit provided a unique and enriching experience for both staff and students.
